MONIKER FLOOD!!!!

We've taken our first steps toward the drawing board ladies and gentlemen!

The synopsis for the first installment, setting breakdown, and Character (some of them anyway) outlines have been delivered to the artists.

Let's wait a little while and hopefully the concept art will come in in droves.

In other news,

Names have been changing and changing and changing

BUT

We have divined a title from the abyss of our minds:
I am proud to reveal the name of the web-comic,

"Stars"

Short, sweet, to the point, and a tip of the hat to classic sci-fi.

We have decided to produce a full-color web-comic.

We've got professional artists and successful writers, great ideas, and a drive to succeed.

Now the business aspects still thwart me:

Web domain must be purchased or otherwise secured,
copyright protection must be insured,

profitability must be planned, accounted and provided for......

the list of things to do grows hourly, but the fun I'm having is indescribable!

Breakthrough #1 - Idea Clouds Abound

Today I spoke with two potential artists about involvement in the web comic project....and to my extreme satisfaction, they are both on board for the most part. The project itself being nebulous at this point in time presents some logistical challenges however, as anything worth doing must...

Now it's on to late-night (early morning) reading of blogs, journals, and e-guides on self publishing and Digital media Copyright law....oh boy.

Will be posting links soon so that our readers can check out the developer blogs of all our team members....This will help all fans and future fans get a feel for the caliber of crazy they're dealing with i guess, at any rate I thought it was a good idea, so I've asked and will ask all our artists, authors, publishers, editors, etc. to create a Blogger page and devblog away to keep everyone in the loop!

My Descent into Science Fiction, Social Commentary, and group multimedia production....

This being my first blog post, I thought it appropriate to explain a bit about myself...

I am a young man, total nerd, frat boy....

I know that this makes no sense, and, compounded with a passion for Opera and American Musical Theatre, I am somewhat of an anomaly...

My passion:

Music (I also like cats)

My project:

Complete at least the first installment of a Science-Fiction Saga utilizing and collaborating with my brilliant friends, family members and colleagues by the end of Summer 2010.

The purpose of this blog is to reflect and report on a pretty interesting (to me) venture I'm undertaking. Over the course of the summer, I intend to orchestrate, edit, and compile a multimedia science-fiction saga (or at least make some serious headway) complete with commentaries on human intimacy, government, religion, social and civil rights, war and genocide....

This in itself is quite an undertaking, in my opinion...I however intend to go one further and make this happen as a group project and collaboration. I am conducting a sort of experiment to see if varied and diverse creative minds can create one coagulant work with a budget of $0-10.

This work, from here on out, affectionately referred to as "my patchwork nightmare," is truly daunting in scope and exhilarating in nature. The work will include musical composition, Digital and handcrafted fine arts, and varied forms of literary expression to pull off.

The setting, characters, delivery devices, hooks, involved parties, meeting places, beverages of choice, writing supplies, etc. etc. etc. have yet to be pulled together...

and I face a roller-coaster of a time getting it all together, but I hope that readers will enjoy listening, reading and watching this project come to fruition (or a moldy mess) from the ground up.

Friends, we are about to embark on a fantastic voyage!...(I think)
